PWR Charity Foundation Opening Doors Program
In 2007, the PWR Charity Foundation donated $225,000 in down payment assistance to 15 first-time buyer families through the Opening Doors First-Time Buyer Down Payment Assistance Program.

The program was established as a means for the REALTOR® community to assist low to moderate income families in fulfilling the American dream of home ownership.

Funds are contributed to the Foundatioin by our 14,000 REALTOR® members and other organizations demonstrating the commitment of REALTORS® to build better neighborhoods by addressing the housing affordability crisis in Orange and Los Angeles counties.

Benefits to Buyers:
  • Provides up to $10,000 in down payment assistance to qualified first-time buyers
  • Creates buyer equity
  • Reduces the monthly payment
  • Guarantees a market interest rate on a safe mortgage product
  • Provides buyer education about home ownership
  • Offers pride of home ownership & personal accomplishment
Benefits to REALTORS®
  • Demonstrates the total commitment of REALTORS® to address the housing affordability crisis on a local basis
  • Creates a tool for PWR REALTOR® members to better serve their clients
